April Springer Recognized as CHN's February 2024 Service Excellence Superstar

April Springer, serving diligently as an Acute Care RN on the night shift, has been selected by a committee of her peers as the February 2024 CHN Service Excellence Superstar. In a particularly challenging situation, April demonstrated exceptional dedication and resourcefulness. She went above and beyond by scouring an online Catholic church bulletin to find an emergency contact for parishioners. Not stopping there, April reached out to a relative to obtain a crucial phone number, enabling the team to contact a priest for administering the last rites to an acute care patient.

This effort, highlighted by Mary Straubel, RN, showcases April's commitment to patient care and her ability to leverage her resources and network for the benefit of those in need. Her initiative was instrumental in providing comfort and spiritual support to the patient and their family during a critical time.
