CEO Ginny Williams Named CHN's January 2025 Service Excellence Superstar
Coming Full Circle
The history of CHN’s coveted Golden Plunger Award has come full circle. It was first awarded to our CEO Ginny Williams in June, 2018 by the Chair of the CHN Board of Directors as representation of excellence and a reminder that we are all housekeepers and caregivers. Since that time, it has been passed from one member of the management team to another deserving member.

Last month’s recipient, Director of Rural Health Clinics Kris Keith, bestowed it once again upon the “OG”
recipient!
In Kris’s own words, “I have spent the last month looking for the next recipient. This was no easy task, I
found myself surrounded by people who go the extra mile, who do what is necessary regardless of their title.
“Some may think I have an alternative motive behind this; I want to explain my thoughts. Regardless of
where you work, you will find a variety of styles, characteristics, motives, etc. Some of us are leaders because
of our title, some of us are leaders because we want to help others on their journey, to improve them, to
challenge others with a different way of thinking.
“I am impressed with how engaged this person is with staff - from simple hello’s to asking questions and
listening to the answers.
“What impressed me the most was observing this individual hop out of a pickup and cross over to the
neighbors and pick up a wet box on the ground. They placed it in the trash and drove away. Many CEOs
would have simply made a call to have someone come and do that. I think that is a prime example of being
a housekeeper and caregiver regardless of your position.
“Ginny, you have impressed me with your knowledge, your dedication to Curry County, and the passion
you display in making Curry Health Network a great place to get care. I love it when you say, ‘I don’t know the
answer.’ Many would BS their way through it just to be or feel superior. Your honesty, dedication, and
willingness to pick up trash is a splendid example to those around you.”
