Physical Therapy
"effective hands-on care for exceptional results"What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is the treatment of injury, disease and other physical and/or mental disorders to restore function or reduce disability. Procedures include exercises to increase strength, endurance, coordination and range of motion, the use of assistive devices (such as walkers or canes), and the application of physical agents or exercises to relieve pain, promote healing and restore function. This therapy is especially important after a fall, injury, or surgery.Physician and Therapist Oversight
All therapy is done under the supervision of both a physician and a licensed therapist. The therapist will perform an evaluation to determine the potential for further therapy and an appropriate plan of care. With physician approval, that therapy plan of care will be carried out under the supervision of a licensed therapist by themselves, or with their therapy team. What are the goals of our therapy team?
