Planned Chemotherapy Infusion Center Expansion Project

Curry Health Network is planning to co-locate a new chemotherapy infusion center within our Curry General Hospital campus in Gold Beach, Oregon. Residents of Curry County face significant challenges in accessing healthcare due to geographic isolation, an older and more disabled population, and a higher concentration of veterans compared to state and national averages. Additionally, Curry County's cancer mortality rate exceeds the state average by more than 11% and the national average by 12%. Currently, residents must travel between 2-7 hours round trip to receive chemotherapy services, creating a substantial burden for patients undergoing treatment. This project will improve access to essential cancer care, reducing travel hardships and addressing a critical gap in local healthcare services.

CHN has received an award notification from HRSA for a $2 million grant, and is submitting a capital funding request, also for $2 million, to the State of Oregon. The remainder of the estimated $9.4 million budget will be funded by CHN.

The anticipated building occupancy date is April 2026. Following is a 3D Virtual Walkthrough of the new center, prepared by Anderson Dabrowski Architects.
