Vickie Halcumb named CHN’s March 2024 Service Excellence Superstar"

Curry Health Network is thrilled to announce that Vicki Halcumb, a dedicated Patient Access Specialist typically stationed on a different floor of the hospital, has been recognized as the March 2024 CHN Service Excellence Superstar! Her extraordinary efforts were highlighted by the Surgical Services crew, who nominated her for this honor.

Faced with a staffing shortage in the OR, Vicki demonstrated exceptional initiative by volunteering to assist the surgical team. She She approached them with the offer to learn and help prepare necessary charts for surgical patients. After a brief training on their processes, she efficiently took on the task of chart assembly, significantly easing the workload of her colleagues during a critical time. Her willingness to step outside her usual responsibilities and directly support her peers not only exemplifies her commitment to teamwork but also her dedication to enhancing patient care and operational efficiency across CHN.
